MANUU signs a memorandum of understanding with the Italian Observatory to explore digital communication

Hyderabad, April 27 (UNI) The Educational Media Center (IMC) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the prestigious Observatory of Cultural and Audiovisual Communication in the Mediterranean (OCCAM), Italy . The observatory is associated with the UNDGC and has special consultative status with ECOSOC. The purpose of the memorandum of understanding is to explore the benefits of digital communication and audio-visual technology globally, the university said in a statement on Wednesday. The MoU was signed virtually by UNAMI Registrar, Prof. Sk. Ishtiaque Ahmed and OCCAM, Italy, President Mr. Pierpaolo Saporito in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan. OCCAM is a Digital Communication Observatory. This is a major outreach initiative focused on applying innovation in digital technology to help disadvantaged groups. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, while appreciating the efforts of the center, said that we are committed to human development and this initiative shows our commitment to sustainable development. Insisting on the importance of the language, he hints at the start of language courses at UNAMI very soon. OCCAM President Pierpaolo Saporito said on the occasion that this MoU marks a new start in achieving the UN’s 2030 agenda. He assured us to work together to form a better digital society. MANUU’s Instructional Media Center (IMC) strives to expand its outreach programs globally. Speaking about the MoU, IMC Director Mr. Rizwan said that the two organizations share few common goals in the field of education, e-learning, ICT and development. community. The MoU will strengthen our ability and capacity to work and broaden our range of activities for global sustainable development. The objective of the joint collaboration would be the exchange of communication professionals, researchers and experts to conduct research and participate in conferences, symposia and international meetings of the two organizations.
